Brian's answer was guarded - certainly not in the near future but he wouldn't rule it out. Unlike all of Canon's lens-making DSLR rivals, Canon has not yet produced a so-called 'digital' lens range optimised for the smaller digital sensor. Even the new 18-55mm EF-S zoom, designed exclusively for the EOS-300D, doesn’t have a small image circle characteristic of 'digital' lenses.
