  • Hi again

    Hi everybody.
Illness caused me to cut down on various forum activities for quite a lengthy time. Just over a week ago I had some heavy heart surgery but am now back home and improving daily.
I shall now be popping in starting gradually and picking up as time goes by.
Unfortunately it will be some time before I can handle the camera again but I can still view and comment on other posting and I do have some piccies stored up which I will get around to as and when.

Oh wow! It's just so good to have you back safe and sound and on the mend!

Glad to hear all the heavy stuff is over and you're back home. Do take it easy and be sure to take care of yourself. That's infinitely more important than anything else so please don't rush things. One step at a time and just enjoy looking in or even just lurking as and when you can manage it.

Geez - you've made my day!

      Re: Hi again

Welcome back Pops - had wondered why I hadn't heard from you when I put a mystery bird up some time ago.

Good to see you back, tho I don't manage to get in as much as I did.

Hoping your recovery goes smoothly - my younger sister's off to Papworth next week to get a date for her next two stents.

Thanks Pol...it's nice to be back and even nicer to sit here virtually pain free.
Already had a few walks down the garden and I can't put into words how I felt. I left strict instructions for feeding the birds and was delighted to see that they are still in abundance

The other good thing is that it'll soon be warming up so you'll be able to enjoy sitting outside again. I was able to sprawl out on the garden bench a few days ago and actually dozed off for an hour. It's freeezing again this w/e but Spring is definitely on the way.

As for the birds - they're tenacious little blighters. We've finally got the LTT coming down from the trees and into the garden to feed. One pair are regularly coming and tapping on the windows and looking in. They're also taking small pieces from the Wisteria and some of the nesting fleece we've left out for the birds. Clearly building a nest somewhere and we're hoping it might be in one of the nesting boxes we have scattered about.

Thanks Stephen....and to everyone else for their nice comments.
I have a few birdie shots stored up but alas it will be some time yet before I am able to handle the monster birdie lens
It appears that my surgeon owns the very same lens and he estimated 4 weeks unless I have someone mount and dismount it for me and that...is just not going to happen
It was bl**dy frustrating yesterday afternoon when 3 rooks came down onto the lawn

Funny thing about your surgeon's revelation - it 's a small world!
