Yesterday the skies were clear, so I got my fleece and woolly hat on, camera in my rucksack with tripod attached to the bottom of the rucksack, set off on my crutches to the nearest hill, good view of the area of sky I wanted so was pleased, hung around for what seemed like ages waiting for the sun to set, then as the time approached the thickest of clouds rolled in covering the whole sky!
Oh well I ended up in a nearby pub with a pint of Speckled Hen.
The skies are just as bad today, but if they clear I shall be off again looking for Comet McNaught.
If anyone has clear skies here is a link of where and when to look.

P.S If using a camera, binoculars, telescope etc, be very very careful as it's very close to the Sun and you could end up blinded if you look direct at the sun through any of them.
