This shows a particular part of a local footpath that I call the Blue Woods. Not a very good picture, but it does show why I call it that. The herbs, and the fungi low down on the trees are the normal green, but the trees in the background, and the fungi higher up the trees have a very definite blue hue. It is quite surprising the first time that you notice it, I suppose it must be due to some element in the soil or the under-lying rock.
