The comment about the "trusty old Lubitel" (second photo) reminded me of a picci which is on the wall behind my desk - and it's been there for many years because I can't bear to take it down.
Our youngest son was thrilled to find an old Lubitel 2 amongst the clutter in our eldest son's cupboard. He grabbed it and clung to it, played with it for ages. Our eldest son took the attached photo, developed it and printed it in his darkroom at college.
The son in the picture is now going on 30, the eldest, who took the picci, is 39 .. and I'm the saddo 'mummikins' who can't bear to take the picci down from behind my desk.
I think the Lubtel had been acquired from a charity shop. Don't think it was ever used to take pics but the little'un loved it and wouldn't give it back.

Aaaaah, I LOVE the second picci of the two boys on Christmas morning. It reminds me so much of our own sons way back when Santa Claus still existed.
Our second son had his 37th birthday last week and was miserable all day because he said he felt 'old and past it' ...
