Spent a couple of hours the other day trying to get some pictures of wildlife in the woods around here, with not too much success! It did however, start me thinking about all the reported problems with the focussing on the Nikon D7000 when it was new. These problems by the way, have now proved to be mainly due to failure to either read, or understand, the user's manual.
Two samples here. I couldn't get any closer than 25 or 30 metres to the red squirrel, the dove was closer, but what really impressed me was the way the D7000 has focussed on the main subject when it could have easily locked onto things in the foreground. Blown up, you can even see the acorn in the squirrel's mouth!
