Look, I know it's been raining a lot especially up there Bearface but lighten up a bit. I say these things with tongue in cheek and a smile on my face.

    I'll keep the Blackbird please.

I think also your quote may apply to me!

It's been raining everywhere, but I'm fine thanks...

You didn't really explain your posting of the additional image beyond the fact that you'd had no comments on the bridge shot, which is why I tried to explain things to you. There was no suggestion in your wording that sarcasm or humour was involved, so consequently I was trying to help...

Ooh, I hope this isn't classed as plagiarism, I only saw Paul's picture as I was uploading mine. If I've broken any rules, please can someone remove it and let me know. Ta. Taken at RNAS Yeovilton's Air Day yesterday.

Well the two shots share a common theme, but I don't really think your entry could be described as plagiaristic. Looks more like coincidence to me

          Nice shot, BTW

Thank you for clarifying that Bearface (can I call you Tim, now that I'm a "veteran" ?) Don't like to step on anybody's toes - especially those with damp ones

I haven't entered for a while so I thought I had better support the competiton this time with a old shot of Ruined Church at Heptenstall.

Nah, that's an A10 Warthog Tank killer nothing like the SR71 Blackbird which was essentially a spy plane.

Hey, Stephen and I did some shooting there a couple of years ago. Were the resident "winos" there, drinking their Special Brew and swearing a lot..?

Not that day - I think we left them all behind in Hebden Bridge. As I recall it was a very quite October day. The only swearing was me cursing the cobbled hill on the way up.

                            Dear All,

Thanks for taking part. I love the variety you get in the Salons. Anyway here are the top three and the reasons why.

In first place with his picture Vunerable is Kiwi Trev.

I love the compostion and the muted colours. Photographs that make me ask questions are my fav. Here they are, who is the girl? Why is she at the end of the jetty? is she safe? This picture fits the salon really really well.

                            Congratulations.

In second place but really only just behind the winner was the photograph posted by Pol. It is so mysterious. The subject looks a little unhappy and dark. I want to know more about why the picture was taken and why the subject looked sad.

and in third place is Pewidane. Don't ask my why because is is a mystery to me but I find this photograph intriging and I kept going back for another look.

Thanks to all who took part. Over to you Trev.

Well done Trev, a worthy winner, and an excellent choice for 1st 2nd & 3rd place Josh.
