AAARRRGHH SPIDER!!
That is usually what I hear when one of those are seen in my house! I like this picture a lot. I am not sure but something is just a tad bit off. The only thing I can come up with is that it seems to be centered. Maybe by applying the rule of thirds the spider would be off center and it would be more visually appealing to the eye! This is only my opinion,and I have been known to Be Wrong! Overall I like it, makes me think of Halloween!

I think there is some potential for processing the image to improve the contrast and tone. The back-lighting makes things glow, which has affected the contrast, for example.Originally posted by stu999 View PostA chance shot taken of a spider and web strung across a window paine.
Interesting point that Jennifer made about rule of thirds - this is a rule that doesn't have to be followed 100% of the time, but I wonder if a spider in its very symmetrical web would work off-set unless you zoomed closer in?
