Thanks for the explanation.
Good thing that Herons tend to stand like statues as well.

Re: Strictly For The Birds
Thanks, Gary. In this photo, which was taken at a lake, the windy weather conditions created turbulence in the water and I decided to lower the exposure to 1/250 second, which allowed for the dreamlike water effect.Originally posted by Garry View PostThe Green Heron is stunning !

They are bought here for Wetlands parks.

Re: Strictly For The Birds
Thank you so very much for looking and commenting, Ian. I've learned over the years that a major key to happiness with point-and-shoot / bridge cameras is allowing them to operate within their comfort range. I make every effort to maximize their strenghts and minimize their weaknesses and they provide me pleasing results. That certainly makes for a splendid relationship!Originally posted by Ian View PostI've peeked at the exif data on a few of these shots and most of them have been taken using relatively inexpensive bridge cameras.
This is very encouraging for people who are despondent that they 'only' have a bridge camera. You don't need fancy expensive gear to take great photos like these!
Ian
I enjoyed viewing your excellent photos on the links you've provided!
My usual photography forum signature states:
"My wife & I make the perfect point-and-shoot photography team. She points and I shoot!"
Best regards,
Tony
