  • Technique testing

While trying out LR5 printing, I thought I'd try another PS technique.

See if you can spot what I've done! Feel free to comment on the picture itself, as it's posted in this part of the forum.

    Thanks

well, just my guess. You changed the gradation of the black background around her hair zone in order to make her more stand out against the background.

Thanks for looking and taking time to comment, it is appreciated.

However the edit was far more "manipulative" than that.

        "far more manipulative"?

well, I spent more than 30 min. closely looking at the portrait. But nothing comes out of my pondering other than common sense general issues.
Is it mouth area? Did you make her smile larger than it was acutually?
If not, I give up. Hope you would not say it's a transgender.

            Re: Technique testing

I've been seeing several images on a Model site that are made up of the "Best Side" of the persons face, copied (as a mirror image) and pasted over the other side of the face.

Here I took the left side of her face and flipped it over onto her right side. I then adjusted the catch lights (so she didn't look boss eyed) and removed the mole so it wasn't too obvious.

The shadows (or lack thereof on her nose) gives it away along with the eyelashes and the scar on the top lip from a lip ring.

Some of these "Mirror Face" models are very obvious, but I really wanted it to be that bit more subtle.

            Thanks for looking.
