    Hi There

Yet another newbie in here I wanted to get some feed back on this photo:
    http://www.pixilis.com/photos/7056
It's probably the best I could do so far. The others are not that good:

Hi Chris, welcome to the DPNow forums, it may be better if you were to post specific images in the critique forums. Why not add some to the galleries, then use the code below the image to post it here in the forum. There are several ways of showing your images here, but providing a link to your own gallery elsewhere is not the best.

Hi Chris - and welcome to the DPNow forum!

There is some good perspective in your composition and the snow-bound railway lines, with the sleepers submerged, is unusual. But I'm not really 'grabbed' by any particular aspect of the picture as a whole. Obviously, there was a certain something that motivated you to take the picture - I was wondering if you could share that with us?

I find all the car-lot stuff on the left distracting. Perhaps a vertical take on the pattern of the tracks, emphasizing the contrast between the dark rails and the snow (?) would have made a good shot?

            Hi, Welcome to the forum,
An interesting image, the rail lines draw you into the image , BUT where to? there is no point of interest, a train disapearing into the distance might have helped, obviously you could not arrange that, also the cluttwer of the cart park on the left spoils the image, a portrait crop perhaps? and/or a little juditial cloneing etc:
