  • Silhouette and sunset

    Hi,

After reading an article on silhouettes and seeing a beautiful sunset out of the bedroom window I thought I would have a go.

    Comments welcome - I think

Well done for putting thoughts into actions This is the sunrise this morning isn't it? I thought the same thing but didn't do anything about it. The sunrise this morning was superb.

The sky and the tree all flow nicely and the colour of that sky is just magic.
Just a shame about the stark outline of the gable end.

Thanks for the comment. I was wondering about the house.

I also thought I was a few minutes too late?

It's a shame about the house but sometimes there's just nothing you can do; if it's there it's there so you just have to either work around it or accept it as part of the scene.

I love the picture actually. The sky is superb and that tree is fabulous, regardless of season, daytime or at night.

There's a Sycamore behind us, other side of our fence, and I love watching it throught the seasons, daytime or at night. I watch it from my bed, watch the wildlife coming and going, watch the sunrise through it and also sunset reflecting off its branches.

I also have photos but never show then because there are just too, too many other factors spoiling the scene.

So 10/10 to you a) for getting the picture and b) for showing it, despite the slight intrusion of the house. I can fully appreciate how much that picci must mean to you. It's a capture of a much-loved scene that's highly personal and you've managed to share some of those personal feelings (for me anyway).

Its a great picture and it would be interesting to see the comparison in say 6 months time when its summer and there are leaves on the tree. Although it may not be possible to replicate as the sun would set in a different place and so would change the lighting completely?
            Love the picture though. Mo

Love the fine detail of the tree and the silkyness of the sky.
House, what house? I thought it was an egyptian pyramid
