    Re: SD Cards

Yes Ian. It is very cute and I have ordered a couple of new batteries and an 8 GB Sandisk card. I decided on the heavy duty one, (Kingston were out of stock of the one you suggested) and I already have 2 x 4 GB plus a 1 or 2 2GB ones, so I am sure that will be enough for me.

I took it out to test it in Clumber the other day only to find that the battery had run totally down. I suppose it is because I had been trying it in the house and testing the GPS, although I hadn't left it on.

So ATM I am trying it around the garden and the results are quite stunning. I don't like the fact that there is no hard copy of the manual, which seems to be the norm these days. However, when I rang Fuji they put one in the post by return mail FREE for my HS10.

I might try to ring Panasonic.

Another thing on my FX01 is that I could just press the down cursor key when in shooting mode and view the last pic taken - I could also cursor to the others. On this one I have to physically switch to the viewing mode which it a bore, because the lens comes in then so I think that this might waste the battery. There are always some snags, but the zoom is terrific and I think for my holiday in India it will suffice, although I shall take my HS10 as well to be on the safe side.

I think I forgot to send the link to the card I was talking about.

I am asking if this is the same as the one you linked me to on Amazon.

    Re: SD Cards

I think that one is slower than the one I linked to (up to 45 mb/s read/write vs 20 read 15 write) but if it's too slow for your needs I don't know.

You could always give it a go and see.

Thanks Eddie, do you think it is the same one as this (it's a different colour)?

I know this is 50p dearer, but I want to send for a compatible battery for my new camera and they have them at 7 day shop, so I can send for them together.

    Re: SD Cards

I've heard it's better t use smaller cards because as you take pictures they tend to slow down so if all your photos are on 1 32gb (or even 16gb) card you may find it bogging down.

Also I would pay more attention to the stated read/write speed than the class. both mine are class 6, but the 4gb is 30mb/s, the 16gb is about 15mb/s or 20mb/s iirc and it shows. Admittedly I noticed it when deleting images, but it has to affect writing too.

    edit: I'd get this: [ame="http://www.amazon.co.uk/SanDisk-Extreme-UHS-I-Memory-45Mbps/dp/B004JJU6I4/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1316351355&sr=8-2"]SanDisk Extreme Pro SDHC UHS-I Memory Card (8GB,45Mbps): Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories[/ame]

    started a topic SD Cards

    SD Cards

Now that I have ordered my TZ20 I am thinking about SD cards. I have 2- 4GB and 1- 2GB SDHC Cards, but think I need another one or two.

7-day shop are selling these - 16 and 32 GB cards. Would I need that much?

    http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/defa...H&comp=&r=fpb1

I need to scroll down to see the ones I am talking about.

Is it better to have 2 smaller ie 16GB rather than 1 32GB card in case something fouled up?

Would these be suitable for the TZ20? I read where it said it was better to use a fast card because of the video.

    Thanks in anticipation.
