This time next week I'll be frantically trying to visit as many exhibition booths in the massive halls of the Cologne Messe in Germany because next week is Photokina week.
Photokina only happens every two years and is the biggest photography trade show in the world. The Photokina frenzy is already building up and a number of new product announcements have already been made prior to the opening of the show, including a new X-Series system camera from Fujifilm, the X-E1, and a new DSLR from Pentax, the K-5 II. We're expecting other camera marques to unveil new cameras by this time next week.
It's the same picture when it comes to manufacturers of photography accessories, software and, of course, lenses.
I'll be blogging from Cologne starting from this coming Sunday. The show officially starts on Tuesday 18th September, but lots of press conferences are going to happen on the day before. I'll also be posting the occasional video, so watch this space!
