This very obliging moorhen was patiently grazing on the canal bank grass, periodically returning to the safety of the water each time someone got a little too close on the towpath. Taken with a Zuiko Digital 300mm f/2.8 lens with 2x converter, which makes it equivalent to a 1200mm full frame lens. And yes, I used a monopod!

I'm still having problems getting the exif metadata to show in the gallery from Lightroom, but the shooting info for this one is: f/7.1, 1/1000th second, ISO 1000, Olympus E-5.
