December's Prize Draw - A limited edition blue Olympus Mju:300 Digital
9th January, 2004: This competition closed at midnight UK time, 31st December, 2003 and we can reveal that the winner of a limited edition blue Olympus Mju:300 is: Sau Sheung Yuen, from Walsall.
Remarkably, Sau Sheung Yuen won a copy of ACDSee 6.0 in the previous month's prize draw competition, along with 11 others and we think he also won a copy of Photoshop 7 from us back in June 2002. If you think the odds must be very good, we had almost 1,500 entries for the blue Olympus Mju:300.
We'll be announcing our next prize draw competition shortly.
A limited edition blue Olympus Mju:300 Digital
For December's dpnow.com prize draw, we have nothing less than a limited edition blue Olympus Mju:300 Digital, worth £299, to give away. The standard Mju:300 has a silver lens cover while this special edition Mju:300, only available at duty-free outlets in airports for a tax-free price of £299, has a stylish blue cover.

What's the Mju:300 like?
If you aren't familiar with the Olympus Mju:300 Digital, launched at the beginning of this year, it's a compact, stylish, weather-proofed, all-metal bodied 3 megapixel digital camera with a 3x optical zoom lens. It comes with a lithium ion rechargeable battery and charger and takes super-small xD format memory cards.
Here at dpnow.com we have used a Mju:300 regularly since its launch and find that image quality is very good for this category of camera and it has a quick start up time. It's also an easy to use camera featuring programmed scene modes and a panorama function, but it only has limited creative override control options (no manual or shutter/aperture priority modes, for example). Our only other niggle with the Mju:300 is that its movie mode doesn't record a sound track. Niggles aside, the Mju:300 can certainly claim to be one of 2003's digital camera style icons and it’s a fab camera to own and use.
The Mju:300 also has a 4 megapixel sibling in the form of the Mju:400. This can be identified by its gold coloured lens cover and a special edition Ferrari-red version is also available, celebrating the Ferrari F1 team's world championship win this year. Olympus sponsors the Ferrari F1 team.
