Don't feel you have to treat your camera with kid gloves, win an action-loving all-weather Olympus µ [mju:] 725 SW
We have a cherry red example of the very latest
Olympus µ [mju:] 725 SW shock and water-resistant digital camera to give away during September. It's so new that it won't be available until next month, when it's expected to sell for Ł300.
The Olympus µ [mju:] 725 SW will be available in Deep Blue, Cherry Red and Titanium Grey. The camera is designed to survive drops from as high as 1.5 metres and immersion in as much as 5 metres of water. But if you are serious about submerging your camera, you could go for the matching PT-033 underwater case that lets you and your camera descend safely to depths of around 40 metres. Full details of the large range of accessories available for the 725 SW are on the
Olympus website.
Succeeding the remarkable
Olympus µ [mju:] 720 SW, which was launched at PMA in the spring, the 725 SW is designed to withstand two more metres than the 720 SW's 3 metre immersion limit.
Inside the tough metal case is a 3x folded optics zoom lens and A 7.1 million pixel CCD. Pictures taken on the µ (mju) 725 SW benfit from BrightCapture Technology, to deliver exceptional performance in low light. By extending the ISO range to 1600, BrightCapture also helps to avoid image blur. The higher sensitivity enables faster shutter speeds to be used, thereby reducing the risk of blurred images – especially at night.
BrightCapture is also brought into play to improve performance in some of the camera’s 24 special scene modes. From Sports, through to Landscapes, and onto Macro and various Underwater modes, pre-defined settings help the user get the best shot with the minimum of fuss.
You can find more about the
Olympus µ [mju:] 725 SW in the official press release for the camera when it was launched recently.
